I've expanded my writing from this awesome blog to a fiction novel... set to be published sometime in 2013. If you'd like to be notified, drop a comment on this page and I'll be sure to let you know when it's available.
In the meantime, tide yourselves over with this synopsis.
DESPERATION
In the normally sleepy Midwestern town of Huntsfield Ohio,
something has begun terrorizing the inhabitants. One eerie report after another begins
flooding into the baffled police dispatch.
As each hour passes, the reports seem to be elevating in both horror and
brutality. It is quickly becoming
evident to the local residents and their police force that their usually
tranquil town is being overrun by something that no human being should be
expected to confront or attempt to control.
John Kauffman and Ryan Goodwin are military, combat
veterans. Both have endured enough conflict while in the military to fill
anyone’s lifetime. They have settled in
Huntsfield in search of a quiet existence and peaceful place to raise their
kids. Until recently the quiet town has served that purpose. This hospitality all changes one seemingly
mundane autumn morning as John and his son James set out to take care of their
weekly yard work. In the blink of an
eye, John comes face to face with the evil that has begun to haunt his
town. From that moment forward none of
their lives would ever be the same.
Steve Gaines and Mike Turner are referred to in most circles
as the best minds in the world of physics.
When they receive a call in the middle of the night, from United States
Senator Dylan Craft, they know from their past dealings with him, that
something must be horribly wrong. The
fact that this disturbance in Ohio calls for the full resources of the United
States Government and their level of physics expertise proves their previous
disposition. The need for them would
become obvious as soon as they are exposed to the mind-bending chaos on the
ground in Huntsfield.
For all intents and purposes hell has come to this town and
it seems that not even god can stop it.
